Review a Word edit and export it
Olyvr proposes each edit as a tracked change you can accept or reject, then exports a Word file with only the changes you kept.
What you need
Section titled “What you need”- The Word document (
.docx), attached to your message or in your workspace. See Import files. - A model.
Ask Olyvr
Section titled “Ask Olyvr”Change the launch owner to Maya and shorten the summary. Show me the edits.
What Olyvr does
Section titled “What Olyvr does”- Opens the document as a Word draft in the document panel beside the chat.
- Proposes each edit as a change: replaced text shows as a deletion and an insertion.
- You Accept or Reject each change. For example, accept the owner change and reject the shorter summary.
- You can also type in the built-in editor and save. Saving keeps the document’s formatting.
- Choose Clean to export with your accepted changes applied, or Redline for a Word file with tracked changes. Then export to Word (
.docx).
Your review decisions are saved, so they’re still there when you reopen the chat or restart Olyvr.
See Review and export documents for more on drafts and export.
Check the result
Section titled “Check the result”- Open the exported file in Word or LibreOffice. The owner change and your typed text should be there; the summary should be unchanged.
- Headings, bold text and tables should look as they did in the original.
If something goes wrong
Section titled “If something goes wrong”- Save fails: Olyvr keeps your changes and lets you retry or save a copy.
- Draft changed since Olyvr read it: Olyvr refuses to apply stale edits and asks you to reload.
- Layout looks different: fonts are shown with close substitutes, so line breaks may differ slightly from Microsoft Office. Export to Word, not PDF, for the most faithful result.
