Comment on a Confluence page

Olyvr can post a comment on a Confluence page for you. If you have access to more than one Atlassian site, and two sites have pages with the same title, you choose which site the comment goes to.

There are two ways to do it:

  • From My Day: when a task in My Day came from a Confluence page, Olyvr drafts a comment for you to copy and post on that page yourself. It doesn’t post it.
  • From chat: with the Confluence plugin connected, ask the agent to comment on any page you can reach. What it can do depends on the tools Atlassian’s server offers.
  • Your Atlassian account signed in, with comment permission on the page. Signing in to the Confluence plugin also signs in the Jira plugin, since both use the same Atlassian account.
  • For the My Day route, the Confluence site imported as a source in Memory Data Sources. Olyvr only reads it.

Comment “Review complete, no changes needed” on the Launch Brief page in the Acme Engineering site.

  1. Finds the site and the page. If you didn’t name a site and the title exists in more than one, it asks.
  2. Shows you the comment and where it goes before posting:
    • From chat, the approval shows the plugin tool and its exact arguments, including the site and page.
    • From My Day, a Reply on card shows the draft. Edit it, then choose Open in Confluence, which copies it and opens the page, and paste it into the page’s comment box yourself.
  3. From chat, posts the comment and reports the result.
  • Open the page in Confluence. There should be exactly one new comment, from you, with the text you approved.
  • Open the page with the same title in your other site and check it has no new comment.
  • Permission missing: Olyvr asks you to reconnect the Confluence site to grant comment posting.
  • Page moved or deleted: ask Olyvr to search for it again before posting.
