Find and summarize a Google Drive document

Ask for a document by what it’s about, and Olyvr finds it in your Google Drive, reads it and answers with a link to the source. It only reads. Nothing in your Drive is changed or shared.

  • A Google account connected in Memory Data Sources.
  • Either the built-in Google Drive plugin, set to that account, or the account’s Google Drive imported as a source.

The plugin reads the live drive, including files never imported. An imported source is a snapshot from the last refresh. If the document changed recently, ask Olyvr to use the live drive.

Find the launch brief in my work Drive and tell me who owns the launch and when it is.

  1. Searches the drive of the account the plugin is set to, by file name and contents.
  2. If more than one file matches, it says which one it picked or asks you.
  3. Reads the document. Docs, Sheets and Slides are read as text; PDF, Office and text files are parsed.
  4. Answers with the owner and date, citing the document it used.

Reading Drive doesn’t need approval, since nothing changes.

  • Open the cited document and check the facts match.
  • If you have the same title in a personal and a work account, check the answer came from the account you asked about.
  • Wrong document: give a more specific name, or the folder it’s in.
  • File can’t be read: scanned PDFs and some file types have no readable text. See supported files.
  • Access removed or file deleted: Olyvr can’t read it. An older imported copy may still be in your workspace until the next full refresh.
