Turn a meeting transcript into Asana tasks

Olyvr reads a meeting transcript, picks out the actions people actually agreed to, and creates Asana tasks for them once you’ve settled any unclear owners or dates.

  • The Asana plugin, connected and signed in to the workspace with the project.
  • The transcript: from the Fireflies plugin, or attached as a file. See chat and projects.

Turn the agreed actions from Tuesday’s launch planning meeting into tasks in the Launch project. Ask me about unclear owners and dates first.

  1. Finds the meeting and reads the transcript.
  2. Lists each action with the quote it came from, and separates agreed actions from ideas that were rejected or only suggested.
  3. Asks about anything unclear: an action with no clear owner, two people with the same name, or a date like “next Friday” without a time zone.
  4. Shows the project, each task’s owner and due date, and how many tasks it will create.
  5. Asks you to approve, then creates the tasks and reads each one back.
  6. Reports each task separately, so if one fails you know which ones exist.
  • Open the project in Asana. Only the actions you approved are there, with the right owners and dates.
  • Rejected suggestions didn’t become tasks.
  • Each task mentions the meeting it came from.
  • One task fails. Olyvr tells you which ones were created. Ask it to create only the missing task, not the whole batch.
  • Unsure whether a task was created. Check Asana before asking Olyvr to retry, to avoid duplicates.
  • The transcript doesn’t say who spoke. Olyvr asks you to assign the owner instead of guessing.
