Schedule a social launch with Buffer

Give Olyvr an approved announcement and image, and it writes a version for each social channel and schedules the posts in Buffer.

Note

This needs the Buffer plugin, and the Canva plugin if the image comes from a Canva design. What Olyvr can do depends on the tools those plugins’ servers offer. If one channel rejects its post, Olyvr doesn’t yet recover the launch for you; check the queue and ask again for the missing post.

What you need

• The Buffer plugin connected, with the channels you want to post to.
• The Canva plugin connected, if you want Olyvr to export the image from Canva.
• The approved announcement text, publish times and time zone.

Ask Olyvr

Prepare a LinkedIn and an X version of this launch announcement, with the image from our Canva launch design, and schedule them in Buffer for Thursday at 9:00 New York time.

What Olyvr does

1. Finds the Buffer channels and the Canva design you named, and asks you to choose if a name matches more than one.
2. Exports the image and adapts the copy to each channel’s length limits, keeping the facts the same.
3. Shows each post: channel, text, image, and publish time in your time zone.
4. Asks you to approve each call before it creates a queued post.
5. Reads the Buffer queues back and reports what it scheduled.

Check the result

• Each channel has exactly one new queued post, with the right text, image and time.
• Olyvr describes the posts as scheduled, not published.
• Open Buffer and confirm the queue before the publish time.

If something goes wrong

• Text too long for a channel: ask Olyvr to shorten that version, then review it again.
• One channel disconnected: reconnect it in Buffer. Check the queue before asking Olyvr to retry, so you don’t schedule the same post twice.
• Times around a daylight saving change: state the time zone and date explicitly and compare the preview with Buffer.
