Reconcile invoices with a customer ledger
Olyvr reads your invoices from Stripe, matches them against your ledger, and writes a report of what doesn’t line up. It only reads; it doesn’t issue refunds or change billing.
What you need
Section titled “What you need”- The Stripe plugin, connected and signed in to the right Stripe account.
- Your ledger as a spreadsheet or CSV, imported into your workspace or attached to your message.
Ask Olyvr
Section titled “Ask Olyvr”Compare last month’s Stripe invoices with the ledger in Q3-ledger.xlsx and create a reconciliation report. Don’t issue refunds or change any billing records.
What Olyvr does
Section titled “What Olyvr does”- Confirms the Stripe account and the ledger file it will use.
- Reads each invoice’s number, status, currency, amount and refunds, page by page.
- Matches invoices to ledger rows by reference number, not by customer name.
- Works out the differences, keeping each currency separate. It doesn’t convert between currencies.
- Creates the report as a spreadsheet or document draft, with a table of exceptions: missing invoices, duplicate references, partial refunds and amount differences.
Check the result
Section titled “Check the result”- Spot-check a few exceptions against Stripe and the ledger.
- Totals are listed per currency, and invoiced, paid and refunded amounts are shown separately.
- Nothing in Stripe changed. The report doesn’t say money moved.
If something goes wrong
Section titled “If something goes wrong”- Totals look off. Check a few rows by hand before relying on the report, especially amounts with cents.
- Draft or void invoices. Tell Olyvr whether to include them.
- Two customers share a name. Matching uses references, so check any row Olyvr flags as unmatched.
