Update a Salesforce opportunity from meeting notes

After a customer call, Olyvr reads your notes and fills in the opportunity’s next step and follow-up date, leaving everything else alone.

  • The Salesforce plugin, set up by an admin and signed in to the right org. If you use a sandbox for testing, check you’re signed in to the sandbox and not production.
  • Your meeting notes in Olyvr: a document in your workspace or a file you attach in chat.
  • A model.

Update the Northwind renewal opportunity’s next step and follow-up date from today’s meeting notes. Leave the stage and amount as they are.

  1. Reads your notes and finds the next step and the follow-up date.
  2. Finds the opportunity. If several have similar names, it asks which one you mean.
  3. Shows a field-by-field change: the current value and the new value for each field, plus the org it will write to. If your notes give a relative date such as “next Friday”, check the date Olyvr worked out.
  4. Waits for your approval. Plugin tools ask by default.
  5. Updates only those fields, then reads the record again and links to it.
  • Open the opportunity in Salesforce. Next Step and the follow-up date match your notes.
  • Stage and amount are unchanged.
  • If your org tracks field history, the change shows under your Salesforce user.
  • Salesforce rejects the update: a validation rule or field permission may block it. Olyvr shows Salesforce’s message, and you can fix the value or ask your admin.
  • Sign-in expired: sign in to the plugin again from Plugins, then ask Olyvr to retry.
  • The plugin has no tools: the MCP server isn’t turned on in your org. See Plugins and MCP.
